Logan’s Mom Has Passed Away

Last night around 11:00pm Logan’s mom, Deb, passed away. She had complications in the surgery to remove the blood clot the doctors found in her bowels and did not make it through. Thank you for all your prayers and support. I will let you guys know more about when the service will be held when those decisions are made.

Thanks again for all your prayers.

Please Pray

Please be in prayer for Deb, Logan’s mom. As some of you know, she had surgery last week to remove a mass that was found on her pancreas. Thankfully, the mass was not cancerous, but her recovery process has been a little rough.

Last night they put her in to ICU. They discovered she was bleeding internally. Last night was pretty touch and go. When they attempted to stop the bleed they discovered a possible blood clot around the area where the mass was removed from. They have rushed her into surgery to find and remove the clot. They will probably have to remove more of her small intestine, as the lack of blood flow from the clot has potentially caused some of the tissue to die.

Please pray for her speedy recovery. Pray for God’s protection of her as she is in surgery once again. Pray that the doctors would move with grace, wisdom and understanding.

Thanks for you prayers. I will continue to post updates here about Deb’s condition.

An Update on Logan’s Mom

I have a big praise report to bring you about Logan’s mom. She got the pathology reports back yesterday and she is cancer-free. Praise the Lord. She is still in the hospital recovering from the “whipple procedure” she had done last week to remove the mass on her pancreas, but this is definitely good news.

Please continue to pray for her speedy recovery and for her to be able to get good rest. Thanks again for all your prayers.

A Newsletter Is In The Works

I have officially set a deadline for our next newsletter. I will be finished with design and ready for mail by this Friday. I hope this creates a sense of anticipation in all of you and increases the discipline in me.

Have a great day.

Prayer Request

Logan’s Mom, Deb

As most of you know Logan’s mom, Deb, has been having some health struggles lately.  Logan has been posting updates on her personal blog with all of the specifics.  If you would like to read them, click here.  Today, Thursday, September 4th, Deb had surgery.  The doctors performed what is called the “whipple” procedure.  It is an extensive surgery that involves removing part of the pancreas, small intestine and stomach and then reattaching everything to flow properly.

Logan and her aunt, Joanne, are with Deb at the hospital.  Deb is out of surgery and the doctors are very pleased with how the procedure went.  They will know Monday whether or not the mass they removed was cancerous.  Once they know this it will give us a better idea of what and how long her recovery process should take.

Please continue to pray for God’s complete healing in Deb’s life.  Pray for God’s grace and strength to get through this difficult time.

Kurt’s Uncle, Ken.

Kurt’s uncle Ken is in the hospital in Lubbock.  Ken has been in a nursing home for several years.  This last week he developed pneumonia and was not responding to treatment.  The hospital has had trouble getting a feeding tube into his stomach because of the pneumonia.  As of yesterday, his condition was improving and the doctors were going to attempt the feeding tube again.

Please pray for God’s continued healing in Ken’s life.  Pray that God would restore his broken body.  Please pray for peace and grace for his siblings, my mom and her other two brothers, as they try to support Ken during this trying time.

Thanks so much for your prayers.

Kurt
