Prayer Request

Logan’s Mom, Deb

As most of you know Logan’s mom, Deb, has been having some health struggles lately.  Logan has been posting updates on her personal blog with all of the specifics.  If you would like to read them, click here.  Today, Thursday, September 4th, Deb had surgery.  The doctors performed what is called the “whipple” procedure.  It is an extensive surgery that involves removing part of the pancreas, small intestine and stomach and then reattaching everything to flow properly.

Logan and her aunt, Joanne, are with Deb at the hospital.  Deb is out of surgery and the doctors are very pleased with how the procedure went.  They will know Monday whether or not the mass they removed was cancerous.  Once they know this it will give us a better idea of what and how long her recovery process should take.

Please continue to pray for God’s complete healing in Deb’s life.  Pray for God’s grace and strength to get through this difficult time.

Kurt’s Uncle, Ken.

Kurt’s uncle Ken is in the hospital in Lubbock.  Ken has been in a nursing home for several years.  This last week he developed pneumonia and was not responding to treatment.  The hospital has had trouble getting a feeding tube into his stomach because of the pneumonia.  As of yesterday, his condition was improving and the doctors were going to attempt the feeding tube again.

Please pray for God’s continued healing in Ken’s life.  Pray that God would restore his broken body.  Please pray for peace and grace for his siblings, my mom and her other two brothers, as they try to support Ken during this trying time.

Thanks so much for your prayers.

Kurt
